The SE Div Time Trials program has developed a new format for events featuring multiple group sessions with several cars being on track simultaneously with passing in designated areas. It’s a revolutionary idea in the world of Time Trials. You get several sessions on track. Probably more than you can stand. It’s just you and your car trying to drive the best line and record the lowest time around the course while watching the mirrors and learning how to play nice with others on track. You will learn an invaluable skillset that will serve you well for future track events. All that you will need to win, along with the safety requirements, is skill, speed, nerve and sometimes a bit of luck.
Due to the increased risk, more safety equipment is required for Time Trials events. Fire resistant clothes and shoes are required along with a five point harness, helmet (SA, not motorcycle), and fire extinguisher. The car is required to have a roll bar. Unlike most forms of road racing, however, a dedicated vehicle is not required as long as it meets the safety requirements.
